My career began in newspaper journalism, but I’ve been a storyteller for as long as I can remember. I created a newsletter for my neighbors and friends as a middle schooler that gave the latest updates on the pre-teen scene. I wrote for the student yearbook and authored a play for senior graduation. Not shockingly, I was the editor of my college newspaper just a few years later.

I thought I would retire one day as a lifelong journalist, but newsroom culture lived and died by the mantra “That’s the way we’ve always done things.” One of the hardest decisions of my career was choosing to leave journalism, but I knew that lack of innovation was the surest path to irrelevance.

My skillset enabled a smooth transition to corporate communications, where I have been a multi-platform content creator, director, and strategist for the past 10 years. It has been a journey filled with twists, turns, and unexpected side adventures. I’ve been mentored by incredibly diverse and innovative leaders who taught me to follow my instincts, work hard, listen, and look ahead.

This site contains samples of my work from several industries and will provide an overview of my capabilities. It also brings back fond memories of colleagues, projects, and tiny helpers (my oldest daughter, below) who have brought me so much fulfillment along the way.
